The tenth generation of Honda Civic was launched in 2016, only five years after the introduction of the previous generation. With the standard model, Honda has also redesigned the iconic version of Si, so far, the cutting range for the US market. But while the hatchback was relegated as Honda eventually brought the Type R to North America, the Si sedan continues to sit at the top of the Civic range and acts as Honda’s only competitor for the Subaru Watson. Like its predecessor, the new 2018 Honda Civic SI sedan is a slightly improved version of the four-door standard. There are more outdoor sport features, exclusive items and additional standard equipment inside, and a more powerful engine under the hood. The latter is new and not a massive improvement over the outgoing unit, but now motivates a lighter and stiffer car.
Exterior and Interior
The aerodynamic appearance of a new 2018 Honda Civic SI is impressive and, if you feel better, remember a bit of Nissan GT-R, which is actually a good idea. The front is dominated by a large intake grid and a recognizable Honda sign, oh yeah, she screams. The large large-sized LED headlights gave it the appearance of anger, while the 19-inch sports wheels only improved the first impression. Honda also featured a sporty front and a rear bumper, more massive than before. The rear of the car is now more sporty. A good spoiler quickly recalls your intentions and LED stop lights have blended underneath. The exhaust pipe is centered, square and looks like energy. The new Si will be available in both coupe and sedan versions.
Many gadgets, buttons, massive steering wheel, AL pedals and Nob gears are included as standard 2018 Honda Civic SI. The comfortable front seats are black, with a red seam. The 7-inch multifunction display is placed in a central part of the console, with climate control underneath. The dashboard also features carbon fiber details and red seams. Rev digital and speedometer will provide the driver with information about your vehicle in the best way. A start button is also included, as well as audio and climate control on the steering wheel.
The 2018 Honda Civic SI gets its juice from one of the engines offered in the standard model, but like its predecessor, the new sedan becomes more important. Specifically, while the Civic base uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower and 138 pound feet and the most expensive versions come with the new four-cylinder furnace at 1.5 liter with 174 horses and 162 pounds, with a more powerful version of the latter. In order to deliver 205 horsepower and 192 lb. feet, adds 31 horsepower and 30 feet of weight to the EX-T, EX-L and Touring trimmings. This is a great improvement and more than enough to make it an attractive option.
Release and Price
Some say that the 205 HP Si versions is only a type R disagreement, some may disagree, but one thing is for sure, the new 2018 Honda Civic SI is a fun and enjoyable car to drive. If you talk about the price, the coupe and the base saloon version will cost $ 23,900. This new version of the shit market.
