After a brief parenthesis, the Honda Ridgeline has come back for a second generation during the model year of 2017. With the history of the automaker to give its models a refresh for their fourth year model, we are only expecting modifications and revisions of the functionalities to its second year, 2018 (we will update this space as soon as we have official information). Although the new 2018 Honda Ridgeline features many of the same features as the first generation model, the new model offers a more traditional look of pickup.
Exterior and Interior
As we have already said, the 2018 Honda Ridgeline is the average truck type of the vehicle, and its design is just that. Looking at the vehicle, a viewer will reflect on power, strength, off-road skills and the ability to work. It looks a bit like other medium-sized trucks, but is there a way to design it differently? If you are looking for beauty and difference, go buy an Aston Martin or a Ferrari. The Ridgeline is a specially built vehicle and has a wide range of uses. With a maximum payload of 713 kg and a traction power of just under 2300 kg in the trailer (in AWD mode), you can carry almost anything.
The Honda Genious solution to all commercial workers, the 2018 Honda Ridgeline, on the right side of the bed, is an integrated compartment that houses the power outlet, a great way to keep your batteries between jobs, while they are protected from elements. Again, Honda thinks almost everything. Under the bed is another enclosure where a worker can store and transport his tools. The fairly large dimensions allow for a variety of uses. The tailgate can be opened downwards as well as on the left side. The bed also contains 6 speakers, which can be controlled by a Smartphone. Almost the same dashboard and information and entertainment system as previously. The eight-inch screen is expected on the dashboard. The cabin equipment varies according to the setting. The higher setting will be better equipped. The interior will follow the outside, simple and usable.
The 2018 Honda Ridgeline 3.5-liter i-VTEC V-6 with variable cylinder management and optional automatic start / stop technology will probably take place. The engine currently manufactures 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. We also hope that the rest of the undercarriage will be transported, including the six-speed automatic transmission and the integrated rear-wheel drive system (i-VTM4) and intelligent traction control (i-VTM4).
Release and Price
The launch date will likely be late in 2017. Only Honda officials really know, and the starting price of 2018 Honda Ridgeline is about $ 30,000.
